Trying to Get Pregnant but Not Ovulating?
Learn about the REBALANCE Study for women with PCOS-related infertility who are seeking to become pregnant
If you have infertility related to polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), you are not alone. PCOS affects about 1 in 10 women and is the leading cause of infertility.
PCOS is caused by a hormonal imbalance. This imbalance can affect your periods, make ovulation irregular, or stop it altogether. Ovulation is needed to become pregnant, so PCOS can make it much harder to conceive.
If you are living with PCOS and are interested in exploring non-hormonal options for your infertility, you may qualify for the REBALANCE Study.
What is the REBALANCE Study?
The REBALANCE Study is testing a one-time, non-hormonal investigational procedure for women with PCOS-related infertility who are not ovulating regularly and want to get pregnant.
Fertility specialists at select centers across the United States are now enrolling women with PCOS-related infertility.
About the May Health Procedure
The May Health procedure is a one-time only treatment that takes about 30-45 minutes in a clinic or outpatient setting.
- Does not use hormones
- No daily or repeated injections
- No repeat procedures
- Performed under pain medication and sedation
The procedure uses carefully controlled energy to treat a small area of ovarian tissue involved in hormone production. Researchers are studying how this may affect ovulation.
Who Can Take Part?
If you qualify and decide to join the study, you will be cared for by a REBALANCE Study fertility specialist team and you will receive all study-related care at no cost.
